I'll add a face to the jewelry. Besides, I gain the majority of my life inspiration from my heritage and gypsy fiddling... Fedora (this violin) deserves her own photo.

Gypsies rock.

Wow, a woman of many talents! The only musical talent I have is maybe I can kinda carry a tune. . .and I
can play a few songs on a harmonica. I've always admired violinists, they look so regal standing up there with
the wooden instrument tucked under thier chins. However, I'm always rather scared that they're gonna stab themselves in the eye with that bow!
Lol, thanks. Yes, my family is traditional with music... we all had to play cello or violin when we were about 3 or 4...

And *nods* that bow can be quite stabby.

Thank you. Yes, there really are gypsies... though honestly, most are the unsavory kind. When I lived in Italy, I ran into dozens a day begging on the streets. And it is not because they are poor and cannot find work - part of the Romani mindset is "I am too good to work for you." I find it self defeating. Luckily, I am not pure Romanian and have very educated parents who give me a more balanced perspective. Though the musicians are top notch. That is what I respect: busking: a service/tune in exchange for money. When someone is street performing, it is entirely kosher and deserves reward... but when they are begging on the street because they don't want to work along side other ethnicities... I feel embarrassed that I am of the same blood. A rough spot in this day and age.

All I know about the Romani comes from a single Charles De Lint book, "Mulengro"...I'm guessing there are son both truths and fallacies about Romani culture in that novel (aside from the supernatural aspect of the plot). I've never really seen any busking, but again I'm a home body and I typically avoid large cities like the plague, which as I understand it is the most popular place for busking in America. Maybe one day, I'll come across some Romani music in one of the cafe's in the area that offer live music...I'll look around.

Thanks for expanding my horizons ever so slightly. :)

Very cool! You're very talented! I've always wanted to learn to play the violin.
